“Stop people on the Terror Watch List from purchasing weapons.”

That is one of the new “gun safety laws” being promoted by the political left.

Here’s the problem (at least ONE of the problems) with that proposal.  Who decides which people belong on that list?  To date, the Terror Watch List and the No Fly List have included people which should absolutely NOT be placed on this list.

According to interagency watchlisting guidelines The Intercept published in 2014, it takes neither “concrete facts” nor “irrefutable evidence” to add someone’s name as a terror suspect. The guidelines allow the administration to name individuals as representatives of terrorist groups they have no demonstrable connection to and to put entire “categories” of people on the no-fly list.

Conservatives could be included as candidates for these lists, and getting your name on a list is much easier than getting it OFF.

How easy would it be for YOU to get on one of these lists, and lose your right to buy… or perhaps even own a firearm?  Probably easier than you think.

Is this really “gun safety” or is this a back door to gun control?  I think it’s another attempt at gun control, and I don’t like the way it smells!  The US Senate may vote soon on a “bi-partisan” solution(?).  Any time you hear claims of a bi-partisan solution, you can bet it is bad for freedom.  It has come to mean that Republicans have sold out… again.

 

Beware “bi-partisan”, “gun safety” laws.
