America has always welcomed LEGAL immigrants.

They have made significant, positive contributions to this country.  I have always taken note of the work ethic that legal immigrants bring with them.  It has given them the ability to achieve success in our great nation.

But in today’s world, there is a subtle change.

Many of our newest citizens have taken up the causes of the liberal left.  It is curious how that could be possible, given that the left has been a force for destroying the very fabric of the freedom and opportunity which caused these immigrants to WANT to become Americans in the first place.

There are two reasons I can identify.  One is that they are hopeful, generous and idealistic.  That makes them easy prey for the lies of the left which give the appearance to be the force for the good of humanity.  The second is that they do not understand what really made America the great country they so badly wanted to be a part of.  The Founding Fathers laid the foundation for a great Republic, in the words of Benjamin Franklin, “If you can keep it”.

These incredible people (legal immigrants) have much to offer our country.  It would be a shame for them to misuse their talents by being hijacked by the left.  With the media hype and the drumbeat from the left, it is easy to se how they could be misdirected.  The only real solution I can see is a deep study of the Founding Fathers and the original intent of these divinely-appointed men (and women).

An honest appraisal of the Founding Fathers could get us all on the right track.
