Hillary has chosen her running mate.

Now begins the media “selling” of Senator Tim Kaine.

He is being referred to as a “devout Catholic”.  I checked the definition of the word “devout”.  Yes, it still means what I thought it meant, “totally committed to a cause or a belief”.  That doesn’t exactly square with Kaine’s opposition to the Catholic position on homosexuality, marriage and abortion.  It would be accurate to call him a “devout Democrat”, but that isn’t the best way for the media to “sell” him to prospective voters.

Kaine was called “Pro Life” by a Fox News anchor, who further noted that the Senator supports a woman’s right to choose (to kill her unborn child).  That is hardly Pro Life, but it’s part of the “sales pitch”.

Another description of Kaine by the media is that he is a “Centrist’.  It’s hard to imagine how a centrist would get a 0% rating from conservative organizations and a 100% rating from liberal groups.  It’s one more re-definition of a word by the media, in an effort to make the sale.

Vote however you want to vote, but let’s at least be honest.

Kaine is NOT Pro Life, a Centrist OR a devout Catholic.
