Horrors!!!
When asked what he would do about Aleppo, Johnson asked “What is Aleppo?”
Now begins the clamoring that this disqualifies him from serving as President.
Aleppo is a place. It is a city in Syria.
Maybe Johnson should have known it. Ok. Big deal! Having served in public office and run for public office, I can say it is not possible to know everything or always remember everything. That should not be the most important test. It is, however, a tactic of adversaries to “disqualify” or discredit candidates who just might have something important to contribute.
I do not plan to support Johnson. I disagree with him on many issues. I do find him somewhat refreshing though. I also find him believable.
I long for the day when we focus on policy, not personality and power. Wouldn’t it be nice to elect people who would not lie to us rather than people who are the “least” unacceptable.
I’m not holding my breath.

Gordon, I’m trying to find a candidate I can agree with on over 50% of the issues and whom I find to be sincere, believable, and honest. That candidate, I think, is Gary Johnson. I think it is a good step toward a sane and reasonable transition away from this current nightmare called … well, I don’t know what to call it.
