You might think it would be a contest between the candidates.
I think you would be wrong.
The purpose of the debate should have been to focus on important issues, so as to enable Americans to make an intelligent, informed decision at the voting booth. It appeared, instead, to be an opportunity to make Donald Trump look bad. Some would say he doesn’t need much help in that regard, but it appeared obvious that there was an agenda to belittle Trump.
The most disgusting award for tonight’s debate goes to:
Martha Raddatz and Anderson Cooper in that order. Perhaps Clinton should be included in the contest, but you would expect that from her. What SHOULDN’T be expected is the obvious and disgusting bias demonstrated by the moderators.
Those who have followed my commentary know that I have not been a huge fan of Donald Trump. That said, he did the best overall job of prosecuting the case. Forgive me, but I think he might actually be effective as President, in prosecuting Hillary Clinton as well.
At the end of the debate, I think open minded American voters will agree that Trump performed pretty well in an adversarial environment.
Despite the disgusting performance of the moderators.
