America’s foreign policy is a mess.

Whether you like Romney or not, he is a talented man with impressive accomplishments.  In that regard, he has much in common with Donald Trump.  The fact that Romney was adversarial to Trump only serves to further prove the point.

The Romney vs Trump rhetoric really shouldn’t be the issue here.  The issue is (and should be) what is best for America.  To his credit, Trump gets that.

In early 2014 I suggested that another of Romney’s adversaries hire him.  The VA was (and still is) in disarray.  I made the case that President Obama should hire Romney to clean up the VA mess, if he (Obama) was really serious about fixing the problems.  Obama chose not to heed my wise advise.  The VA problems remain unsolved.

In 1999, Romney took the lead and salvaged the Olymics.  When he assumed the role, the committee was under water by  staggering $379 Million.  At the end of the day, the Olymics were a success and ended with a surplus of $40 Million Dollars.

I wasn’t excited about Romney when he was running for President (or Trump either, for that matter) but the kind of record Romney brings would be a good fit for the Trump administration.  Romney is a “get er done” kind of guy.  That is what America needs in the office of Secretary of State.

Trump should hire Romney.
