I think so.

And that would be a good thing.  The teachers union has had a stranglehold on the education establishment for decades.  Their liberal, humanist agenda has inflicted significant damage to the prospect of good education in our country.

Thankfully, there have been wonderful teachers who have faithfully discharged their sacred duty to mold and educate our children despite the teachers union.  My mother was one of them (my wife and my sister are as well).  She changed the lives of children for the better.  She loved them.  She taught them.  Her influence in the lives of countless children continues today, even though she has been gone for years.  She was not a fan of the teachers union.

The teachers union has a powerful grip on politicians, including the two Republican Senators who voted against DeVos.

DeVos is a champion of school choice.  That alone makes her a prime target for the teachers union.  Add to that, her history of promoting Christian principles and you have another reason the Leftists running the Teachers Union are opposing her confirmation as Secretary of Education.

The latest obstacle to the DeVos confirmation was overcome when the Senate voted 52-48 to end debate, making way for a vote sometime next week.  She will most likely be confirmed.

It won’t happen without a fight!
