The assassination of Kim Jong-Un’s brother was like something out of a James Bond movie.

I’ll confess, I didn’t know what VX was until I began reading about this murder. You would think that this man would have known his life was in danger at all times, just because of who his brother was, and his history of “dealing’ with those he perceived to be a threat to his political power.

He didn’t appear to be overly anxious or cautious in the videos I have seen of him. It was just another day, going to the airport. Well, not exactly. What was in store for him was not a very pleasant end to his life. As he walked through the airport, he was approached by two women who rubbed VX on his face.

VX is a toxic chemical. If you touch it, you die. Obviously, if someone rubs it on your face, you better have your life in order.

The more I learn about terrorism and chemical weapons, the more I am amazed that America has remained as safe as it is. There is just now end to the ways someone with evil intentions can kill and destroy in a moment of time.

This political assassination with VX is just a sample of the many means by which wicked people can do terrible things. It makes me even more appreciative of those who preserve our liberty and protect our lives. I’m also aware that they can only do so much to protect us.

It’s another reason I pray.
