Some are calling is “Dirt Bag” Politics…
The Governor wants to add some prime real estate to State Parks system.
Most people don’t like the idea.
That doesn’t stop the Governor and his minions.
Lynn Kolund, a retired U.S. Forest Service Hell Canyon District Ranger who lives in Custer, wrote an article for the Custer County Chronicle that should raise some eyebrows. It tells the “back story” of some of the tactics employed by a political cartel that is determined to have its way, despite public resistance.
Kolund alleges that one of the parcels, which includes Camp Bob Marshall, came under attack by State Government Officials. Nearly half of the Camp Bob Marshall board members were forced out and money set aside to fund the camp operations was forcibly transferred so it couldn’t be used.
This might not rise to the level of EB5, shotgun suicides and the like, but its a snapshot of the political power and corruption that hide behind closed doors.
Its how the game is played in South Dakota.
