That is one reason Republicans will not REPEAL Obamacare.

They want to keep the taxes.

Yes, they are discussing tax reductions, but very little talk about ELIMINATING the Obamacare tax increases.  In case you have forgotten, there were half a TRILLION dollars of tax increases in Obamacare.  You can see a full list of them HERE.

South Dakota’s own Senator Mike Rounds supports removing “SOME” of the taxes, but leaving others which provides BILLIONS of dollars to fund government programs.  One could reasonably assume that South Dakota’s other Senator, John Thune (the number 3 Republican Senator) is also on board, given his silence on the subject of Obamacare taxes.  In a Fox News interview, Senator Rounds made it very clear that he supports keeping Billions of Obama’s tax increases. That, my friends, is what is wrong with the Republican health care proposal… and the Republican Party.

Keeping Billions of dollars of Obama tax hikes is at the core of the Republican reluctance to just REPEAL this terrible program.  If they repeal it, they loose the taxes they want to keep.  If they “Repeal and Replace” it they have the cover they want by saying they “reduced” taxes.  If they were to repeal Obamacare in total, and tackle issues one bill at a time, they would be held accountable for the results. If they just “fix” it without complete repeal they get to keep the leftist policies and taxes they like and still blame the Democrats.

I hope you are as disgusted as I am with this spineless Republican approach.

Thank God for (the few) Senators who are standing firm and rejecting this proposal.

“Not as bad as Obamacare” isn’t good enough!
