“Flooding of Biblical proportions”
Even the media has referred to the flooding in Texas as “Biblical” to describe the scope of this disaster.
Very interesting observation.
Our hearts go out to those who have been impacted by this horrific storm. Lives have been lost and property damage is in the Billions of dollars, as the storm CONTINUES to roar. The economic impact will be felt world-wide.
In the face of all the tragedy, there are countless stories of neighbor helping neighbor, and stranger helping strangers. It is one of the positive things to come from such a tragedy.
Another positive result of this disaster is that the lives of many unborn children may actually be SAVED as a direct result of this storm. There are seven or eight abortion facilities in the city of Houston. The notice on the Planned Parenthood website for Houston notifies visitors that they are “closed until further notice… due to flooding”. I am thankful for every life saved, both those rescued from the flood waters and those rescued BY the flood waters.
I am not celebrating this disaster, so please refrain from assaulting me for being somehow “politically incorrect” for opening this discussion. I am, however, reminded… by the media… that this disaster is “Biblical” in proportion. Reflecting on the Old Testament plagues delivered by God against a hard-hearted Pharaoh causes me to wonder about the hard-heartedness of America. Our nation has drifted so far from God that killing unborn children has become a “constitutional right”. America’s wickedness is also Biblical in proportion.
Just look around you, and read your Bible if you question that assertion.
