Not so quick!
ANY allegation in a political contest that is made in the eleventh hour is designed to destroy the target. These attacks are strategically created and timed to preclude the opportunity to adequately disprove the charges.
Sexual misconduct is never acceptable, and women (or men) who are victims should be heard. That said, eleventh hour allegations, regardless of how “believable” they may sound, should be considered suspect.
The allegations against Judge Moore have given me pause. If he is guilty, he obviously should go. They “sound” as though they could be legitimate. I must ask, though, what is the motive for making these accusations at this late hour, rather than sometime… anytime… during the long public career of this distinguished, honorable man. Could it have anything to do with his unwavering commitment to conservative Christian principles?
Perhaps.
Leftists of every stripe have used these eleventh hour allegations as an all-out effort to keep Judge Moore out of the US Senate. They are even more ballistic over the prospect of a Senator Roy Moore than they were about a President Donald Trump.
From the beginning of these nasty allegations, I have thought, “If he is innocent he will stay. If he is guilty, he will leave.” Judge Moore has made it clear that he isn’t going anywhere. Except the US Senate. The people of Alabama have seen the steadfast service of this man. It could be a close race, but he is likely to win. He is not likely to wilt under pressure. We could use a few of those in the US Senate. THAT is what the legions of Leftists fear the most. If it were really about sexual indiscretions they would have cleaned up the Democrat Party decades ago.
