According to John Adams,Ben Rush, Countless Millions and Mark the Freedom Poet
The 66 books of the Bible were completed by God and His Holy Spirit working through his inspired Servants starting with Moses and ending with the Revelation of Christ to his Dear Friend, John the Apostle. The incredible consistant Harmony over so much time by so many authors is, by far, the Greatest Literary Miracle ever.
THE BIBLE IS THE INSPIRED AND INERRANT WORD OF GOD. PURE TRUTH AND PERFECT LOVE. SHOWING THE ONLY WAY OF ETERNAL SALVATION, AND AVAIILABLE FOR ALL THE CHILDREN OF THE EARTH WHO PROCLAIM THAT JESUS, THE RISEN, ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD THE FATHER, IS THEIR LORD AND SAVIOR. PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME FOREVER.
Almost all of the most important Founding Fathers and their families believed that; and they built a nation on the sure knowledge that “All men are created equal.” The Bible was the most important textbook and in some cases, the only one. Even Abe Lincoln said the Bible was his main schoolbook, 200 years after Plymouth Colony was established to advance and serve the Christian Faith. THE BIBLE WAS AMERICA’S BOOK AND MUST BE AGAIN; BUT IT IS BEING FORGOTTEN, IGNORED AND HATED BY THE ATHIESTS WHO DOMINATE PUBLIC EDUCATION CURRICULUM FROM PRE-K TO PHD. The results of this hostile takeover are Horrific; and our Christian Republic is drowning in a cesspool of lies and ignorance.
The first tract released by the American Tract Society in 1830 was taken from a letter that Dr. Benjamin Rush, the youngest signer of the Declaration of Independence, wrote to a friend in THE 1790’S explaining why he preferred the Bible as a schoolbook to all other compositions.
Rush said in the introduction, “Before I state my arguments, I shall assume the following propositions.” He goes on to make five powerful statements. These are so very important that I shall write an article on each one! Please dwell on these Compelling remarks.
“#1: that Christianity is the only true and perfect religion; and that in proportion as mankind adopt its principles and obey its precepts they will be wise and happy.” AMEN!
Do we want our children to be as wise and happy as possible or not?
Is this first statement True or not True? Do we care about our children and our neighbor’s children more than our fear of being made fun of or not?
All religions ARE NOT servants of the ONE TRUE TRIUNE GOD only the most Orthodox Jews are faithful as they can be to the Old Testament; but almost all our founding fathers agreed with Paul who said in Romans 3:23 “All have sinned and fallen short of he Glory of God.”
About 90% of American Students are being told the Damning Lie, that all religions believe in the same God by any Name. Oh, is Bhudda, Mother Earth, a cow or the Crescent Moon equal to the Cross of Christ as a way to Eternal Life?
We must get the Bible back into the schools and hearts and minds of our children and over 400 American Publiic Schools have done just that. I know if you Care and I care and many others come to care, WE CAN GET THE BIBLE BACK INTO PUBLIC SCHOOLS. After I finish these articles on the Dr. Rush letter; I WILL CALL YOU TO VICTORIOUS AND SPECIFIC AND SIMPLE ACTION. Pray about this and share these posts with others. WE MUST MAKE 2018 THE YEAR OF THE BIBLE FOR ALL AMERICANS AND WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
*** Mark “The Freedom Poet” Skogerboe *** is a Life and Liberty News contributor and a lover of American freedom. Mark has authored several books, hosted well known radio talk shows. He has also appeared regularly on the Liberty Today television program. His knowledge of history and our Founding Fathers makes him a popular speaker for conservative groups and rallies.
The Upanishads, the Egyptian Book of the Dead, et al had no direct or indirect impact on the founding principles of our nation, and did not affect the moral or governmental foundations of the United States. The Bible, on the other hand, was absolutely critical to the formation of the United States, as well as its unparalleled freedom and prosperity.
“In contemplating the political institutions of the United States, I lament that we waste so much time and money in punishing crimes, and take so little pains to prevent them. We profess to be republicans and yet we neglect the only means of establishing and perpetuating our republican forms of government. That is, the universal education of our youth in the principles of Christianity by the means of the Bible.” – Benjamin Rush, doctor and signer of the Declaration of Independence
President George Washington’s first presidential proclamation declared “Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor…”
President James Madison issued a similar proclamation: “I do therefore recommend the third Thursday in August next, as a convenient day to be set apart for the devout purposes of rendering to the Sovereign of the Universe and the Benefactor of mankind, the public homage due to his holy attributes…”
Noah Webster, a lawyer and Yale graduate who is famous for his dictionary, said, “The moral principles and precepts contained in the Scriptures ought to form the basis of all of our civil constitutions and laws.… All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.”
The first governmental document of America, the Mayflower Compact, was written “In the name of God” and “by the Grace of God” “for the Glory of God, and advancements of the Christian faith.”
The New England Primer, the second-best selling book in the colonies (after the Bible) was the main textbook used to teach American’s founding generation to read and write, and used tools such as these:
A – In ADAM’S Fall We sinned all.
B – Heaven to find; The Bible Mind
C – Christ crucify’d For sinners dy’d.
D – The Deluge drown’d The Earth around.
Without the Bible and our Christian heritage, THERE NEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN A UNITED STATES. (Caps for emphasis)
You cannot understand the United States, as well as the source of our unrivaled liberties and success, without a solid understanding of the Bible, whether you agree with it or not.
No reason not to teach people about the Bible in US schools. Equal time, of course, for the other ancient religious texts like the Upanishads, the Egyptian Book of the Dead and Pyramid Texts, the Quran, the Talmud, the Tao Te Ching, etc.
