This is the second in a series inspired by one of the first tracts produced by the American Tract Society around 1830. Dr. Benjamin Rush had written to a friend in the 1790’s a letter explaining why we should prefer the Bible as a schoolbook. He began with 5 assumptions. The first that Christianity is the only True and perfect religion, and the best path to Wisdom and Happiness.
The second assumption that Dr. Rush made was, ” #2, That a better knowledge of this religion is to be acquired by reading the Bible than any other way.”
Millions have died for God and Country because they believed the old song was TRUE: Trust and Obey, Trust and Obey. There is no better Way to Happy in Jesus but to Trust and Obey.”
America’s 2nd President, John Adams, wrote to his 14 yar old son, John Quincy who was Ambassador to Russia and later became our 6th President: “It is essential, my son, that you may go through life in comfort to yourself and usefulness to your fellow creatures, that you should form and adopt certain principles for the government of your own conduct and temper. IT IS IN THE BIBLE YOU MUST LEARN THEM AND FROM THE BIBLE, HOW TO PRACTICE THEM!”
John Quincy Adams read the Bible through once for every year of his life; and after his Presidency, he humbled himself and became a Congressman for the rest of his life to fight against the Abomination of Slavery and collapsed on the floor of the houseat age 80, while making an impassioned speech. He went home the next day to be reunited with his Christian, parents John and Abigail.
What do we want for our Children’s education? That they have deep, righteous joy and Godly Wisdom. Let us covenant to teach them Truth that is always harmonious with the Bible. The best way for them to be happy and wise is to teach them the Bible.
Some intellectually abusive parents do not want to teach their children the Truth. So until the revival comes, we must overturn Athiest Supreme Court Rulings against Prayer and the Bible. We can get the Bible into schools as an elective.
I agree with the wonderful article to rightsidesd.com by Bob Ellis that Christianity was the very foundation of America. Think about how the World would be dominatd by Abject Tyranny were it not for America. There would be very few Jews alive and certainly no modern day Israel without Christian America. No Freedom, No Happiness. No Bible No Christianity.
THE TIME HAS COME TO GET THE BIBLE BACK INTO ALL SCHOOLHOUSES IN AMERICA. PRAY FOR THIS BLESSING AND JOIN US IN THE POLIITICAL FIGHT THAT IS COMING SOON. DO WE LOVE OUR CHILDREN MORE THAN OUR FEAR OF MAN?
