Looking Into The New Year

Promises of National prosperity are dampened a bit when one looks at things like Congressional spending and our national debt (over $$ 20 Trillion and growing by the second).  There is no shortage of political problems, for which the political class seems to have an inability to produce resolution.

Despite the challenges, this is a season to look ahead with expectancy, and plan for the new year.  No personal plan is complete without an inventory of resources.  You have many.  Even if recent years have been unkind to you, this is a perfect time to pick yourself up by the bootstraps and prepare for great successes in the year ahead.

As you consider your assets, I hope Christ is among them.  Your own credentials are important, but as you create your resume don’t forget who brought you this far.  In Christ and with Christ, ALL things are possible.  There is no mountain too tall, no valley too deep.  God has provided you with the opportunity to be endued with power through the baptism in the Holy Spirit.  You can ‘tread on serpents and scorpions’ and have authority over all the power of the enemy.  Nothing shall by any means hurt you.  God will bless every thing you set your hands to do.

I am reminded of a time when we had former UN Ambassador Alan Keyes come to lead a pro life rally.  In one of his messages, he spoke of times he felt like he was all alone… just him and God.  Then he realized that standing alone… with God, made him the majority!

Go with God as you challenge 2018.
