A sovereign nation has the right to choose it’s capitol.

 

Unless you happen to be the nation of Israel.

The violence and death perpetuated by Hamas has it’s genesis in hatred for Israel.  The conflict isn’t likely to end any time soon.  There is little chance for real peace with someone who hates you and is intent on your extermination.

Israel is left with one viable option.  Self defense.  It is really a lose-lose deal.  If they don’t defend themselves, the destruction and elimination of their nation would be certain.  When they are compelled to defend themselves, it provides their enemies with more ammunition to fuel the hatred.

The firestorm of hatred for Israel and America will not be quenched.  The solution would be simple… end the attacks and allow America and Israel to live in peace.  There is no peace (and can be no peace) with those whose relentless objective is to kill you at any cost.

In the midst of it all, Israel has a right to their homeland.
