From brash New York businessman to powerful President.
Powerful AND effective.
That has his critics in a tailspin. When Trump first appeared on the political scene, I was not a fan. He represented nearly everything I oppose… particularly in the area of morality.
Then he won the Presidency.
The one thing I was thankful for, is that Hillary didn’t win. But still… wondered if (and how) Trump would be much/any better. I have watched and listened with a critical eye. I heard the report that Trump had experienced a personal encounter with and commitment to Jesus. I know that is a game changer in anyone’s life. While Trump is still a flawed human (aren’t we all?), he continues to become more and more Presidential.
He has proven to be the most effective President in my lifetime. He is turning the Washington establishment upside down (or perhaps right side up). His approach to world affairs is unlike any of his predecessors… and it appears to be working. Trump is challenging international trade with an “America first” banner. While that is distressing to our trading partners and Leftists, I predict it will produce better deals for American business. Much better.
There are still plenty of “never Trump-ers”. That will probably not change. In the meantime, there is plenty of change. Very good change. Trump won’t get everything right all the time. Neither has any other President. His performance to date, during his short tenure in the Oval Office places him head and shoulders above any other President in my lifetime. Even on issues of morality.
I can understand why Leftists are wringing their hands in disbelief and despair. They have good reason. President Trump is systematically dismantling decades of leftist policy (put in place by Democrats AND Republicans).
Good job Mr. President!
