“The sky is falling.”

It’s the latest prophecy of gloom and doom from America’s Leftists.

President Donald Trump has imposed tariffs on many products from other nations.  They are VERY unhappy.  To say the least.  Like Leftists, they don’t know how to deal with this man.  Other Presidents have allowed them to take advantage of us at every turn.  This man is really upsetting their apple carts.  His insistence on “fair trade” could ruin their sweetheart deals that funnel billions of dollars out of American pockets into the coffers of other countries.  Enough, already.

Certainly, these tariffs on our friends and trading partners will result in an all-out trade war, along with higher prices for consumers and destruction of businesses in America.  Hardly.  Job growth continues to be strong with businesses and our economy flourishing.  That has Leftists’ heads spinning.

In the face of strong objections, Trump suggested that the simple solution would be to eliminate ALL tariffs.  That was a non-starter, since other countries impose more tariffs on America, many times over.  Now, even that may be changing.  The European Union is floating the prospect of eliminating all tariffs on autos.  That would be good… very good… for American auto makers, employees and consumers.  It’s the first sign of many positive movements in trade deals yet to come.

When it comes to making good deals, Trump is no chump.  His target is fair trade. He isn’t blinking.

This will end well.
