Democrats?? Republicans??
We need to look deeper than Party affiliation. The real battle has its origins in the unseen world. Scripture tells us we do not wrestle against “flesh and blood”. Humanity has an invisible adversary, the Devil. That doesn’t mean that people bear no responsibility. It speaks to the motivation of those who carry out these acts of evil. The conflicts between people are, indeed, very real and require response, but the genesis of these problems is spiritual. The ultimate solution is also spiritual. That is where the battle must be won.
The job description of the Devil is to “kill, steal and destroy”. He uses people to accomplish his wicked objectives. Make no mistake. There are wicked people doing evil things. They are tools of the Devil.
It is an unfortunate fact that we get so preoccupied in the battle with what (and whom) we can see, that we ignore the real battle and the real solutions. Another fact is that the heart of mankind is “deceitfully wicked”. There is no way to tame the wickedness in the heart of mankind, aside from a personal encounter with and commitment to God, through His Son, Jesus Christ. Until America returns to that truth, the violence and hatred will continue, and grow worse.
Jesus came so we could “have life, abundantly”. We will find peace, harmony and prosperity when we become, again, one nation under God.
That is the (only) hope for America.
