Once February 12th was an annual Holiday; and Abe’s picture adorned the walls of many public schools and countless thousands African American homes. Millions have memorized the Gettysburg Address.
A man of laughter and tears, heroic strength and tenderness, He had deep and abiding Faith in God and our Constitutional Republic. He was a Great Role Model; and a Savior to Millions of Slaves.
Abraham Lincoln fulfilled the Declaration of Independence. He knew that God had created all men equal; and that our inalienable Rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness (not the guarantee of happiness) came from Almighty God.
Abe knew “We would not remain half slave and half free.” His election in 1860 triggered the division of America; and the bloodiest war in our History began.
Yankee Revenge cried, “Punish the traitors”, but Abe said, “The best way to destroy your enemies was to turn them into Friends.” Just after Lee surrendered the Confederate Forces, a band came to serenade Lincoln at the White House and he requested “Dixie” in honor or his Southern Brothers.
Abe could not have imagined in his darkest dreams that a day would come when the Democrats supported a war on children by supporting infanticide in and out of the womb; and aggressive Atheistic, anti-Republican & pro-Socialism brainwashing of American children. pre-K through Phd. And that they would support open borders which if unchecked, would destroy our nation quickly.
Abe said, “Our Republican robe is soiled and trailed in the dust! Let US re-purify it, turn and wash it in the Spirit if not in the Blood of the Revolution.”
Let us renew Abraham Lincoln’s Pledges to promote “Charity for All and Malice Toward None.” and, “Highly resolve that this nation, Under God, shall have a new birth of Freedom. And that Government of the people, by the people and for the people, SHALL NOT PERISH FROM THE EARTH”
Thank God for the 16th President of these United States. . . .Saint Abe Lincoln.
