It’s the number one goal of Democrats.

The planet will implode if America doesn’t take immediate action.  End the use of fossil fuels in our country (our economic engine) or the world will end.  Their assertion, not mine.

Adopting the Green New Deal would cripple our economy and cost Trillions of dollars.  Huge new taxes plus an economy in free-fall would be devastating to the American prosperity and way of life.

But the most significant flaw in the discussion is who is strangely absent.

Other countries produce most of the world’s CO2 emissions.  America contributes less than 20% of the total emissions.  Democrats don’t speak a word about the source (or solution) of most of the pollution.  In their minds, America is the “great satan” of pollution.

India and China top the world in DEATHS from air pollution.  The pollution-related death toll in 2017 for India was 2.5 million.  China was close behind at 1.8 million.

Not a word from Democrats.

Even if we agree that the world will end if we don’t take emergency action (just for the record, I DON”T agree), eliminating America’s share of emissions wouldn’t solve this imaginary crisis.  The only thing it would accomplish is to literally destroy the economy and our way of life.

Could it be that Leftists don’t KNOW these facts?  No.  They just don’t want to discuss it.  These facts are the REAL ‘inconvenient truth’.  It begs the question, “What, then, is their true agenda?”

Beyond winning an election, it’s hard to imagine.
