Senator Ted Cruz recapped the Democrat debate.
“they want to raise your taxes, they want to triple the price you pay for a gallon of gas at the pump, they want open borders, they want to take away your health insurance and they want to take away your guns”.
The recent debate found the candidates silent on another issue they all wholeheartedly support… the killing of unborn (and just-born) children. AND, that they want/expect YOU to pay for it.
What caught the ear of many Americans, is when Beto O’Rourke blurted out what other candidates are thinking but not saying, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47″. Gun owners got the message. Leftists view guns as an evil that must be eliminated from our society. Not just the ones Beto is ranting about. Those are just the ‘poster child” of gun control. Red Flag laws, restrictions and confiscation are on their agenda… one piece of Legislation at a time.
Gun owners (legal, law abiding ones) have an inherent mistrust of their government. Not the government, really, but those who control it. We know the 2nd Amendment was meant to protect citizens from a tyrannical government. We remember many events where our government used excessive force (in recent history).
1992, Ruby Ridge. In a standoff between white separatist Randy Weaver and the FBI after Weaver failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing. Weaver and his family holed up in his cabin in northern Idaho. Weaver’s wife, Vicki, 38, was shot to death by an FBI sniper while standing in the cabin door with her 10-month old daughter, Elisheba, in her arms. Sammy, the Weavers’ 14-year-old son, was killed by gunfire
2016, Robert “LaVoy” Finicum. The unarmed Arizona rancher, was fatally shot after he exited his vehicle at a police roadblock. A passenger in Finicum’s vehichle was also shot in the shoulder.
1993, Waco, Texas. The FBI pumped the compound full of tear gas and broke through the building with military vehicles. Seventy-five men, women & children died, including leader David Koresh.
Gun control/confiscation/buy-back programs are all designed to do one thing… Take our guns and leave us defenseless.
No thank you, we’ll keep the 2nd Amendment (and our guns).
