Covid Vaccine Linked to Abortion

Maybe you haven’t heard.

The short story is that the vaccines being developed and tested are using cells derived from fetal tissue of aborted children.

Beyond that fact, there are some interesting twists and turns. In 2019, the Trump Administration suspended funding for most research involving fetal tissue from abortion. Specifically excluded were cell lines developed prior to June of 2019. The cell lines being used in development of Covid testing pre-date that timeline.

If you would like to lean more about this, here is a link to one article that seems to have some of the basic information: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/08/health/trump-covid-fetal-tissue.html

Research can also be done with fetal cells from still born births and miscarriages, but those are generally considered “less desirable” by the science community.

So, enter the moral dilemma.

Christians and the pro-life community have some choices to make. I won’t pretend to make them for you, but whether you take the vaccine or not may require some real soul-searching.

Personally, I had previously concluded that I would take the vaccination. That was before I was confronted with this information. Now, I don’t think it’s something I will accept or endorse. I would rather take my chances with Covid and have a clear conscience before God.

On the brighter side, our bodies (created by God) have the ability to develop natural immunities. For my part, I will follow that path.
