The latest liberal economic recovery plan is truly remarkable.
North Carolina’s Governor Bev Perdue (DLD-NC) speaking at a Cary, NC Rotary Club suggested suspending Congressional elections for two years so that Congress can focus on economic recovery and not the next election.(In case you were wondering what “DLD-NC” means, it’s “Deranged Liberal Democrat.”)
Her suggestion might be entertaining on Saturday Night Live or maybe on MSNBC but she was speaking at a Rotary Club. Who arranged the speaker for this meeting? Nancy Pelosi?
The sad part of her faux pas is that it openly demonstrates the workings of the progressive liberal mind. Governor Perdue, on more lucid days, realizes that November 2012 will be the end of Democratic rule in Washington as it is likely that most of the Democrat inmates will be discharged by the voters.

“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that.”
Of course, later in the afternoon (after her doctor changed her medications) Perdue’s office clarified the remarks: “Come on,” said spokeswoman Chris Mackey in a statement. “Gov. Perdue was obviously using hyperbole to highlight what we can all agree is a serious problem:”
Really?
Read her statement again and you decide if she was merely “using hyperbole” or floating a trial balloon.
Progressive liberals hate the Constitution because it limits their tools to destroy America. But it doesn’t stop them from trying.
Somewhere over at DNC headquarters there’s a focus group being polled to see if they can make Perdue’s liberal economic recovery plan fly.
