Qaddafi is Dead, Now the Real Danger Begins

Now that Muammar Qaddafi, is dead, the real danger begins.

As in other Middle Eastern countries that have undergone political transitions resultant from the Arab Spring, we can be sure that militant Islamic jihadists will have their game on. They have already proven adept recently at using democratic processes to undermine democracy—especially where chaos reigns.

And chaos will reign.

We will be told repeatedly that now is the time for the US to come to the aid of Libyans to ensure the establishment of democracy, that it is our responsibility, that the U.S. should support this transition with the key things the new government needs to be successful…..that will be money. The Obama administration will insist on emergency aid for the war torn country. Emergency aid that we cannot afford to give.

Hillary Clinton just departed Libya earlier this week acting and sounding more like a Peace Corps director than a secretary of state. She doled out $11 million in US taxpayer funds.

With blinding speed the assets and all of the former Qaddafi government’s funds abroad will be unfrozen and made available to Libya’s Transitional National Council. We will be sold on the premise that the new Libyan government will need this to maintain order and support its cities until oil exports and the private economy can be resumed.

What we will wind up funding is the ascendancy of the Muslim Brotherhood to power in a land that is no more a nation than Obama is a king. Libya is comprised of a conglomeration of tribes that were temporarily unified by the tyranny of Qaddafi, emboldened by the uprising in Egypt and supported illegally by Obama through the ruse of NATO.

One can only hope the Obama regime approaches transitional Libya with more ability and clear thinking than it has next door in Egypt where we now have inexplicably reached out to the Islamists in the Muslim Brotherhood and the freedom loving Egyptians are slaughtering Christians and burning churches.

Qaddafi’s Libya was no threat to the security of the US. A new regime there has much more probability to become one.

They have no real understanding of democracy nor the very real prices that must be paid to make one work. The brutality displayed in the capture and murder of Qaddafi is testament to their utter lack of understanding of the rule of law.

Qaddafi is dead now the real danger begins.

Say what? It takes a certain kind of derangement to take a question about supporting the ousting of a tyrant and turn it into a chance to shoehorn every anti-Obama buzzword you can think of into one sentence.

Democracy has a chance in Libya that it didn’t have one year ago. The Libyans may fail, just as the American Revolutionaries could have failed after unyoking themselves from King George III. But that chance is preferable to continued oppression. That assessment has nothing to do with your unhealthy desire to turn every statement into a diatribe against the President.

I wonder what label you will hurl at me on your next comment. It never ceases to amaze me that you libs all must label any conservative that dares disagree with you. I guess you just don’t like it when the truth destroys your position. If you disagree then just say so. No labels are necessary. Anyway on to the matter. Permit me to prognosticate and we can judge later who was right……fair?
Democracy has NO chance in Libya, they didn’t under Qaddafi either. The Libyans WILL fail at democratic government, in fact, they already have as they are already embracing Shariah law. They are also not a people in search of freedom. They are 3 tribes seeking domination one over the others. Their oppression will continue, only the name of the oppressors will change.
BTW, I have no “unhealthy desire” to turn every statement into a diatribe against the President, I just have a healthy desire to return him to community activism.

Boy, you wingnuts just can’t stand any good news during a Democratic administration, can you? A popular uprising ousts and kills a murdering terrorist tyrant, and you call the triumphant and liberated people of Libya the real danger. That’s like looking at a beautiful sunrise and fretting that everyone is in danger of skin cancer again.

The malignancy you see was brought on by well-meaning but misguided people who gushed as they voted for redemption from their racialist guilt to vote for a childish, incompetent man with no experience, a lack of American pride, a disdain for the military, a disrespect for the rule of law, total ignorance of economics, a corrupt circle of Chicago-based sycophants, a Marxist agenda, a pro-Muslim attitude, a monstrously large ego and a very large Reverend Wright inspired black chip on his shoulder.
No one will miss the murderous thug Qaddafi but the “liberated people of Libya” are not a unified people at all. They are 3 tribes with flags that will now find themselves in conflict and, lacking any real understanding of self-governance will be exploited by Muslim jihadists. And here at homeObama will trumpet his victory over Qaddhafi on his latest campaign tour.
